How to make a complaint about a legal professional body
There are three methods you can use to make your complaint.

3. In writing
You should write to the Ombudsman within 3 months of receiving the professional body’s final decision letter. You will need to provide:
- Reasons why you are dissatisfied with the professional body’s handling of your complaint and/or the decision reached;
- The professional body’s reference number;
- The name of the lawyer or the firm;
- A copy of the professional body’s final decision letter.
